What is a birth control implant?

Birth control implants are a type of temporary contraception. A small, 3-centimeter-long tube of hormones is inserted under the skin, on the inside of the forearm. It takes about 3-10 minutes to insert, and can be used for 3 years. The implant should be inserted within the first 7 days of the menstrual cycle, which is the most suitable time to use birth control implants. The mechanism of pregnancy prevention is that the drug works by inhibiting ovulation to make the cervix thick, making it difficult for sperm to move into the uterine cavity. It also makes the uterine cavity thin, which is not suitable for embryo implantation. If you want to stop birth control or switch to another method of birth control, you can remove the implant at any time. You can have children when your body returns to normal. Ovulation will return within 3 weeks.
