Hepatitis B Immunity and Virus Screening Program - B Care Medical Center
General information
Testing for Hepatitis A, B, C, D, E
Hepatitis is caused by an infection in the liver, causing inflammation of the liver and destruction of liver cells. The most common hepatitis viruses are hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C. Hepatitis D and E are rarely found. In addition to viruses, drinking alcohol, taking certain medications in high doses, such as tuberculosis drugs or paracetamol, certain germs, such as typhoid and malaria, having abdominal wounds in the liver, liver damage caused by disrupted bile flow, and bacterial infections are also causes of hepatitis and liver cancer. Hepatitis can be transmitted to other people through blood, lymph, and sexual intercourse.
Currently, it has been found that there are people infected with hepatitis virus, both those who show symptoms, such as yellow eyes/yellow body, and those who do not show symptoms. The disease can eventually develop into cirrhosis and liver cancer. However, with advanced medical technology, in order to respond to the reduction in the number of patients with hepatitis, there are methods to test for various types of hepatitis viruses that cause liver disease, such as hepatitis and liver cancer, by taking a blood test to find the infection status and find immunity to various types of viruses. To help screen and diagnose, as well as provide a guideline for correct treatment and prevent the spread of hepatitis to others.
