Hand, foot and mouth disease is a contagious disease that is transmitted through contact with nasal mucus, saliva, rashes, and blisters caused by infection with the anterovirus group. It is common in infants and young children, causing fever, mouth sores, and blisters on the palms, soles, and torso. It is a common disease during the rainy season. If severe and has complications in the nervous system and brain, it may be the cause of death for the patient.

Injection details are as follows

• First dose: Start on the first visit
• 2nd dose: 1 month after the first dose

Who should receive the hand, foot and mouth vaccine?

• Infants and children aged 6 months to 5 years

Preparation before receiving the service

• If you have a fever or are not feeling well, you should wait until your symptoms improve before you can get vaccinated.
• Children who have had hand, foot and mouth disease can get vaccinated, leaving a gap of 1 month after recovering from the disease.
• For children who have received other types of vaccines, a gap of 2 weeks should be left before starting the new vaccine.

Aftercare

• There may be swelling, redness, bumps at the injection site, or fever, headache, or muscle pain, which will occur for about 1-2 days and will disappear on their own.
• If you receive the vaccine and experience severe side effects, you should see a doctor immediately.
