Package details
Hemodialysis surgery is a minor procedure that patients can go home immediately after the surgery.
- Including doctor's fee, procedure fee, and hospital service fee.
- Excluding assessment fee, ultrasound of blood vessels (1,000 baht)
- Excluding room fee in case the patient has to be admitted to the hospital
The following documents must be prepared before surgery:
- The date of the dialysis incision must not be the same as the dialysis date.
- Medical history from a nephrologist from the hospital where you are treating your kidney disease.
- The latest blood test results, no more than 1 month old, include BUN/Cr/GFR, electrolytes, CBC, anti-HIV, HbsAg.
- History of heart disease (if any), such as coronary angiography (CAG) results, echocardiogram results.
- All medications that the patient regularly takes.
- The patient's ID card.
- Patients who take blood thinning medications, such as warfarin / antiplatelet medications, such as aspirin, must always inform the doctor. If unsure, bring the medication for the doctor to see.
- The patient must come with a relative to listen to the treatment and care guidelines both before and after surgery.
- After the patient has had a blood test and passed the evaluation criteria, they will be able to undergo surgery on the day of the first blood test.
Preparation before receiving treatment
- Physical examination and ultrasound to assess the readiness of the blood vessels
- Patients with underlying diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure should take medication to control the disease before surgery
- Avoid drawing blood, measuring blood pressure, giving saline or injecting medicine in the arm where the dialysis will be done because it may damage the veins
- Do not abstain from food and water before the dialysis
- You should exercise the veins on the side where the dialysis will be done by squeezing and relaxing the ball alternately for 10-15 minutes to increase the strength of the veins
