Bone Density 3 part - Nakornthon Hospital
Package details
What is bone densitometry?
- Bone densitometry is a test to measure the density of bones in various parts of the body, such as the spine, hips, wrists, and bones throughout the body, to determine how much osteoporosis there is. This is done using radiation called Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry scanner or DEXA scanner, which uses low energy to reflect images of bone tissue. The results of the test are fast, accurate, and safe.
Osteoporosis is assessed by the following T-Score values:
- T-Score greater than -1 = Normal bone density
- T-Score between -1 and -2.5 = Osteopenia
- T-Score less than -2.5 = Osteoporosis
